WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Looking to start up MAC Commonwealth conference play with a win for the eighth straight year, the Lycoming College men's basketball team hosts Albright College on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 6 p.m. in Lamade Gymnasium.
The Warriors (4-1 overall) are coming off an 89-75 victory over Penn College on Monday. Sophomore D'Yante Doughtyled four Warriors in double figures with 23 points while shooting 8-of-10 from the field. Senior Darius James and sophomore Darius Dangerfield each dropped in 18 points with freshman Markanthony Fidelis adding 15.
Albright (1-4 overall) fell to Eastern, 71-59, on Nov. 20. The Lions were led by Samuel Majekodunmi, who led all scorers with 26 points, as he notched his third straight 20-point effort.
• The Warriors are 8-3 in conference openers since moving to the MAC Commonwealth in 2007-08.
• Lycoming leads the MAC Commonwealth with 11.0 steals per game. Four players are in the top six in the league: sophomore D'Yante Doughty and freshman Markanthony Fidelis (t-1st, 2.6) and sophomore Darius Dangerfield and senior Darius James (t-5th, 2.2).
• Sophomore D'Yante Doughty was named the MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week on Monday thanks to his 32-point outburst against Susquehanna.
• Doughty needs 13 more points to cross the 300-point barrier in his career. • Senior Darius James is leading the MAC Commonwealth in rebounding (10.2). He is the only player in the league averaging a double-double.
