The U.S. House of Representatives makes and passes federal laws. The House is one of Congress’s two chambers (the other is the U.S. Senate), and part of the federal government’s legislative branch. The number of voting representatives in the House is fixed by law at no more than 435, proportionally representing the population of the 50 states.
The Primary Election is Tuesday, June 2, having been postponed from the original April date because of COVID-19. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Check with your local polling place for possible changes.
This year, voters are being encouraged to apply for a mail-in ballot. You can apply online at VotesPa.com. Applications for mail-in ballots will be accepted through May 18, 2020 until 11:59 p.m.
