Pa General Assembly 85th Legislative District

PA House of Representatives District 85, which contains parts of Snyder and Union counties, has been represented by David Rowe since 2019. 

As of the 2010 census, 66,182 Pennsylvanians live in District 85, which includes Middleburg, Mifflinburg, Lewisburg and Selinsgrove. Much of the eastern border of the district lies along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River.

This area contains multiple state parks and other spaces for outdoor recreation, including McCall’s Dam State Park, Raymond B. Winter State Park, Walker Lake and the Snyder Middleswarth Natural Area, a National Natural Landmark.

Beaver Springs Dragway is located in District 85 and provides entertainment to racing fans throughout the summers.

Bucknell and Susquehanna universities are both located in the district and are major employers to its residents. The lumber industry in the region also provides many jobs including forestry and carpentry.
