In 2021, a handful of politicians will wield power over one of the most consequential and overlooked aspects of our democracy: redrawing Pennsylvania’s political districts.
Pa General Assembly 110th Legislative District
PA House of Representatives District 110, which contains parts of Bradford, Sullivan and Susquehanna counties, has been represented by Tina Pickett since 2001.
As of the 2010 census, the population of the district was 59,579. The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that less than 15% of residents among the three counties are living below the poverty line. Further demographic information for the county can be found at census.gov.
State game lands 12, 13,36, 66, 219, and 240 span across the region, as well as the Loyalsock State Forests and the Susquehanna River. Ricketts Glen and Worlds End state parks draw tourists to the area for all things outdoors, as well as special events, like the annual PA Bowhunter’s Festival in Forksville.
Part of District 110 rests above Marcellus Shale, which makes energy one of the major industries in the county. Other exports from the county include timber, furniture, maple syrup and wine.
