LINDEN - Alberta J. Hamilton, 84, of Linden, died Thursday, July 4, 2019, at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman F. Hamilton.
Born June 25, 1935, in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of the late Louise M. Hamm.
Alberta was a member of the Salvation Army Church. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, watching animal videos, wildlife and birds, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her nine children, Charles E. Hamilton of Hughesville, Larry R. Hamilton of Linden, Norman D. Hamilton (Bobbie) of Williamsport, Lonnie W. Hamilton of Cogan Station, Shari A. Wilson (Donald) of Linden, Sarah E. Ball (Edward) of Picture Rocks, Paul B. Hamilton (Linda Emmil) of Loyalsock, Wayne D. Hamilton of Linden, Bobbi J. Hamilton of Linden; by a brother, Steven Hamilton (Diane) of Berwick; a sister, Barbara Quiggle of Salladasburg; 29 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a few great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren and a sister, Joyce Ward.
A funeral service to honor the life Alberta will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday July 9, 2019, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave. Williamsport. Burial will follow in Linnwood Cemetery, McElhatten. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
