Milton – A Montandon woman was seriously injured last weekend when she lost control of her vehicle on Route 147 in West Chillisquaque Township, Northumberland County.
The one-vehicle crash occurred at 1:26 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019. Tammy A. Ulrich, 56, was traveling south on Route 147 near the intersection with Route 45 when she attempted to pass another motorist. Once she passed, she attempted to steer back into the right travel lane and oversteered, causing her lose control of her 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, according to Pennsylvania State Police in Milton.
The jeep went off the west berm of the roadway, traveled through a grassy area and hit an exit sign before rolling over an unknown amount of times, police said. The jeep came to final rest overturned and facing to the west.
Ulrich sustained serious suspected injuries, police said. She was transported to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
