Muncy – A Hughesville woman was arraigned on Monday on charges of corruption of a minor and disseminating sexual material to a minor after she allegedly sent two sexually explicit photos to a boy on Facebook Messenger.

Janelle A. Platt, 32, allegedly engaged in a conversation with the 16-year-old boy on May 25, 2019 via Facebook Messenger. During the conversation, the boy asked Platt for pictures of her. Platt sent two sexually explicit photos to him through Messenger, according to Trooper Matthew Miller of Pennsylvania State Police in Montoursville. After police interviewed Platt, she confirmed she sent the pictures to the boy.

Platt was arraigned at the Muncy District Magisterial office of Jon E. Kemp. Bail was set at $30,000 unsecured. Platt’s preliminary hearing is set for 10 a.m. August 23.
