A Williamsport woman recently admitted to selling buprenorphine, a prescription opioid medication known as "Suboxone."

Nicole Messimer, 26, pleaded guilty on October 2, 2019, to one ungraded felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, according to documents filed at the Lycoming County Courthouse.

Messimer sold buprenorphine/naloxone pills, known as "Suboxone," to a confidential informant in the city earlier this year.

Messimer met with the informant on January 14, 2019, who purchased $60 of Suboxone at a location on Trenton Avenue in the Newberry section of Williamsport, according to a previous report.

Messimer was sentenced to three years intermediate punishment, with three months plus 10 days of electronic home monitoring, when a system becomes available.

She also was sentenced to 50 hours community service, drug court and costs of prosecution.
