A new officer is joining the ranks of the Williamsport Bureau of Police. Charles Schwab of Ohio will begin Police Academy Act-120 training at the Lackawanna College on March 23, 2020.

Schwab is a graduate of Marietta College in western Ohio where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Marketing. He also holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice--Law from Washington State Community College, also in Marietta, Ohio.

A Veteran of the U.S. Army, Schawb served as an Airbone Infantryman in Germany and Afghanistan.  Schwab currently serves as a Deputy in the Lycoming County Sheriff's Department.

"We welcome Mr. Schwab into our ranks and we look forward to a great future," said Chief Hagan in a news release. Schwab will be assigned badge #28.
