Police have roped off Wildwood Boulevard near High Street in Williamsport, investigating reports of shots fired

Williamsport – Williamsport Bureau of Police are investigating two shooting incidents that occurred earlier today.

According to an official statement released by police, the first incident occurred at 12:44 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2019 at the 400 block of Lycoming Street. WBP patrol units were dispatched to this general area for shots fired. The area was canvassed and nothing was located, according to the police statement. Later in the morning, evidence was found in the area which confirmed that shots had been fired. WBP Criminal Investigation Unit Agents are currently investigating this incident.

The second incident occurred at 12:48 p.m. on September 20 at the 600 block of Wildwood Boulevard. WBP patrol units were dispatched for a report of shots fired in the area of High Street and Wildwood Boulevard. A crime scene was located in the 600 block of Wildwood Boulevard, according to the statement. WBP Criminal Investigation Unit Agents are currently investigating this incident.
