MONTOURSVILLE -- Two men who allegedly hit a pedestrian and shot at him last month in Loyalsock Township were arrested in Drexel Hill by the United States Marshals Fugitive team on Friday.
Robert Vetesse, 30, of Brookhaven, and Norman J. Dennis, 41, of Drexel hill, were taken back to Lycoming County last night and arraigned in front of District Magistrate Gary A. Whiteman, according to Pennsylvania State Police in Montoursville. They were taken into custody without incident at a residence in Drexel Hill.
Both men were charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and simple assault. Vettese also received firearms charges. Vettese and Dennis were committed to Lycoming County Prison without bail.
The charges stem from the incident in which the victim, a 30-year-old man who was on foot, was struck with a vehicle around 2:30 p.m. March 31, 2019 on Robbins Road in Loyalsock Township. Police said Vettese and Dennis were occupying the dark colored vehicle that hit the victim. As the victim attempted the leave the area, the vehicle attempted to hit him again. The passenger, who reportedly was Vettese, allegedly fired a gun at the victim. The vehicle then fled the scene and was later found abandoned at Walmart in Montoursville.
A preliminary hearing for both men is scheduled for 1 p.m. April 15.
