Milton – One person was injured in a shooting in downtown Milton on November 10, 2019.
Cpl. Embeck of Milton Police Department confirmed the shooting occurred on Elm Street shortly after 3:30 p.m. Police confirmed the road was closed for a period of time while officers conducted the investigation. Pennsylvania State Police Forensics Services Unit and Milton Fire Department assisted Milton Police Department at the scene.
Upon arrival, officers reported finding a male victim lying on Elm Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. A witness said that upon hearing gunshots, "they observed a black Audi fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed, south on Elm Street."
A short time later, according to a release from Milton Borough Police Department, assisting units located a vehicle matching the description. Officers attempted to initiate a stop, and a pursuit entailed. "The vehicle was subsequently stopped and three suspects matching the description of the actors were taken into custody."
Police confirmed the victim of the shooting was being treated at Geisinger Medical Center.
Charges will be filed against the suspects, Embeck confirmed. The department will release further information at a later time.
