Pennsylvania State Police in Montoursville investigated a number of recent incidents in Lycoming County:
Burglary Commercial Force, September 14, 2019 at 9:13 a.m. at Penn Power Group, 285 John Brady Dr., Muncy Township. Police and Pennsylvania State Police Forensics Unit responded to the scene for a report of burglary. A safe with approximately $750 in cash, a $150 gift card and miscellaneous items were taken. Endangering Welfare of a Child, September 13, 2019 at 8 p.m. at Old Montoursville Rd., Loyalsock Township. Police responded to a report of an unresponsive female. Upon further investigation, it was determined the female purchased and used heroin before becoming unresponsive in the parking lot. She also had her 23-month-old child with her at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
Criminal Mischief Under $1,000, Between 8 p.m. September 13 and 8 a.m. September 14, 2019 at 4359 Route 239 Jordan Township. Police responded to a report of criminal mischief. A victim reported his mailbox was smashed. Upon arriving on the scene, it was determined a crime was committed. Anyone with information should contact PSP Montoursville.
DUI Crash Drugs, September 12, 2019 at 1:10 p.m. at Route 442, Muncy Creek Township. A non-reportable crash was reported on Foxcroft Manor Drive, Muncy Creek Township. Upon arrival on the scene, the operator of the vehicle, a 31-year-old woman of Muncy, was determined to be under the influence of a prescription medication. She was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending at the office of District Magistrate Jon E. Kemp after lab results are received.
Theft from Building, September 11, 2019 at 3:02 p.m. at Nittany Minit Mart, 1450 E. Third Street, Loyalsock Township. Police responded to the convenience store for a report of an employee stealing from the store. Upon further investigation, it was found that the employee stole six cartons of cigarettes in a three-week span. Charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Gary A. Whiteman.
Harassment Physical Contact, September 11, 2019 at 8:18 a.m. at Blair Street, Loyalsock Township. Police said a verbal altercation turned physical when Shane Leininger, 30, of Montoursville, shoved/struck a female victim in the left shoulder. Leininger was issued a citation for harassment through the office of District Magistrate Gary A. Whiteman.
Drug Possession, September 6, 2019 at 1:08 a.m. at U.S. 15 North, Old Lycoming Township. Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Maurisha Williams, 22, of Buffalo, N.Y. after multiple traffic violations were observed. Upon contact, police determined Williams was under the influence of marijuana and there was marijuana and paraphernalia found inside the vehicle. Misdemeanor DUI and drug charges, as well multiple traffic summary violations were filed at the office of District Magistrate William C. Solomon.
Harassment Physical Contact, September 3, 2019 at 7:37 p.m. at 2995 Heshbon Rd., Loyalsock Township. This incident occurred as the suspect, a 29-year-old man of Williamsport, threatened to beat the victim up over a repossession of his vehicle. The suspect was arrested for harassment.
Burglary Commercial No Force, Between 6 a.m. August 31 and 1:30 p.m. September 5, 2019 at Hanson Aggregate, 5245 Lycoming Mall Drive, Fairfield Township. Police said an unknown actor(s) gained access to the business and removed multiple items. The unknown actor(s) then fled in an unknown direction and by unknown means.
Criminal/Simple Trespass, August 26, 2019 at 8:19 p.m. at 128 Gohl Road, Woodward Township. Police responded to a report of a possible burglary. Upon arrival, it was found the residence was entered with no damage taken place. Lights were turned on throughout the apartment, but nothing was reported stolen. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Equipment, August 17, 2019 at 11 a.m. at 2465 Lycoming Creek Road, Loyalsock Township. Police received a report of found drugs. After an investigation, paraphernalia was located within the property. A criminal complaint was filed for drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of medical marijuana was filed against Rebecca Rittman, 30, of Cogan Station.
DUI Crash Alcohol, August 10, 2019 at 3:06 a.m. at Route 87, Upper Fairfield Township. Police said a 23-year-old man of Williamsport was driving a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta north on Route 87 and rear ended a Mack truck. The man attempted to flee the scene on foot and was detained on the scene by the driver of the truck. The man was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. A probable cause search of the vehicle’s trunk resulted in a discovery of drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending through the office of District Magistrate Gary A. Whiteman.
DUI on View Alcohol, July 26, 2019 at 11:38 p.m. at Route 864 and Lockard Rod, Mill Creek Township. Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple vehicle code violations. The operator, a 30-year-old man of Pennsdale, was determined to be driving under the influence and was arrested.
Theft, July 12, 2019 at 3:50 a.m. at Meadowood Road, Woodward Township. Police received a report of theft and harassment. After an investigation, it was determined that there was not sufficient evidence to charge either party with harassment (assault) and theft. The investigation was terminated.
DUI on View Alcohol, July 7, 2019 at 7:24 a.m. at 4000 Pine Run Road, Anthony Township. This incident occurred during a crash. The operator, a 56-year-old man of Palmyra, Pa., was determined to be driving under the influence and was arrested.
DUI on View Alcohol, July 6, 2019 at 12:57 a.m. at Market and E. Third streets, Williamsport. Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a vehicle code violation. The operator, a 53-year-old man of Encino, CA, was determined to be DUI and was arrested.
DUI on View Alcohol, July 5, 2019 at 8:39 p.m. at S. Maynard St. and Bluejay Alley, South Williamsport. Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic code violation and determined the male operator was driving under the influence. He was arrested for DUI and related offenses.
Harassment Physical Contact, July 5, 2019 at 3:59 p.m. at Blockhouse Road, Jackson Township. Police said a 20-year-old woman slapped, punched, kicked and brandished a weapon at a victim and her husband. The woman was arrested for simple assault, harassment, terroristic threats and trespassing.
