Pennsylvania State Police in Montoursville investigated a number of recent incidents in Lycoming County:
Strangulation, September 4, 2019 at 8:09 p.m. at Northway Road, Woodward Township. Police responded to a domestic disturbance. Upon investigation, police determined that a 27-year-old man of Williamsport strangled, punched and shoved a female victim. He was taken into custody and arraigned in front of District Magistrate Gary A. Whiteman.
Drug Possession, September 3, 2019 at 3:59 p.m. at Market Street and Glenwood Avenue, Williamsport. Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. Upon further investigation, it was determined the driver, David M. Douty, 41, of Williamsport, had a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia. Charges were filed.
Criminal Mischief, August 31, 2019 at 1:49 p.m. at Harvest Moon Park, Woodward Township. Police investigated a criminal mischief incident in which two juvenile actors spray painted graffiti on the rear of a victim’s shed.
DUI on View Alcohol, August 29, 2019 at 8:33 p.m. at Market and E. Edwin streets, Williamsport. Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. Upon further investigation, it was determined the operator, Matthew Persun, 29, of Montoursville, was under the influence. He was taken to UPMC Susquehanna for further testing. Lab results are pending.
DUI on View Drugs, August 28, 2019 at 6:50 p.m. at N. Route 220 Highway and Sawmill Road, Woodward Township. Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. Upon further investigation, it was determined the operator, Ryan Dunlap, 34, of Linden, was under the influence. He was arrested and taken to UPMC Susquehanna for testing. Lab results are pending.
Drug Possession, August 24, 2019 at 7:14 p.m. at 241 I-180 East, Loyalsock Township. During a traffic stop, police located marijuana in the vehicle and a 17-year-old male driver was arrested for Drug-DUI. Charges are pending through the juvenile justice system.
Criminal Mischief Under $1,000, Between 8 p.m. August 22 and 8 a.m. August 23, 2019 at Ross Road, Moreland Township. Police said a victim’s garage window was damaged by unknown means. The actor(s) then fled the scene by unknown means.
Disorderly Conduct, August 17, 2019 at 3 a.m. at I-180 East, Loyalsock Township. Police responded to UPMC Susquehanna – Williamsport Hospital for a report of an assault. After the investigation, a 19-year-old woman of Trout Run was cited with disorderly conduct and harassment.
Theft Bad Checks, March 13, 2019 at 9 a.m. at Erie Materials, 7784 S. Route 220 Highway, Woodward Township. Police said a suspect arrived at the business and purchased building materials to complete a job. The suspect wrote a check and it was returned for insufficient funds. The amount exceeded $6,000. Police said the suspect is known and identified.
