Pennsylvania State Police in Montoursville investigated a number of recent incidents. Most of the incidents were in Lycoming County with the exception of one in Northumberland County:
Theft/Crime by Deception, August 9, 2019 at 4:28 p.m. at Queneshuckney Road, Woodward Township. Police were notified that a victim was contacted from an unknown individual stating they won $2.5 million and requested money via a money order to pay for taxes. Upon further investigation, the notification was fraudulent. The investigation is ongoing.
Harassment Physical Contact, August 6, 2019 at 1:45 a.m. at Main Street, Salladasburg Borough. Police said a male and female engaged in unwanted physical contact. Both were cited for harassment through the District Magisterial office of Jerry C. Lepley in Jersey Shore.
Public Drunkenness, August 6, 2019 at 11:05 p.m. at Chadlee Dr., Armstrong Township. Police responded to the 100 block of Chadlee Drive for a report of an intoxicated male. Upon arrival they found Bryan Brown, 39, had been causing a disturbance with loud music while being visibly intoxicated. After interviewing Brown, he was cited with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
DUI on View, July 8, 2019 at 11:02 p.m. at Seagrave Drive and Springtown Road, Delaware Township, Northumberland County. Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by James Gowin, 53, of Allenwood. Following the completion of the investigation, Gowin was found to be under the influence of alcohol and charged with felony DUI and other summary violations.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, May 27, 2019 at 3:08 p.m. at 235 I-180 West, Loyalsock Township. Police stopped a vehicle driven by Zachary Clark, 24, of Williamsport, for speeding near the Warrensville Road exit. During the course of the stop it was discovered Clark was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed at the District Magisterial office of Gary A. Whiteman in Montoursville.
