MONTOURSVILLE, Pa. – On Tuesday, June 11, 2019 a contractor will begin a resurfacing project on Route 1018 (William Penn Drive) in Kelly Township, Union County.
Work includes mill and resurfacing, drainage improvements, pavement markings and guide rail upgrades on William Penn Drive from Route 2007 (Airport Road) to Route 15. There will be lane restrictions under daylight flagging. An 11-foot width restriction will be in place.
The work is part of a multiple route project that includes resurfacing on Route 2007 (Fairgrounds Road and Airport Road) in Buffalo and East Buffalo townships and Lewisburg Borough and Route 15 in Kelly Township and Lewisburg Borough.
Work on Route 15 will be performed at night. A press release will be issued when this portion of the project is scheduled to begin.
Also in Union County, will be a railroad crossing repair on Route 15. Union County Industrial Railroad plans to repair the rail crossing on Route 15 just south of Route 304 in Union Township.
Route 15 northbound will be restricted to a single at the rail crossing on Wednesday, June 5, so the railroad’s contractor can repair two broken concrete panels. This work is expected to be completed in one day.
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
