A crash on Rt. 54 near Turbotville Monday killed one driver and injured the passenger, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Milton.
At 4:35 p.m., the black 2016 Ford Fusion, driven by Danville resident Brett Nicholas Stuart, 21, was traveling at a high rate of speed, according to police, when it left the north side of the highway, struck a guide rail, and rolled several times into a field. Stuart was ejected from the vehicle and taken to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, where he was pronounced dead.
The passenger, Max John Moynan, 19, from Washingtonville, Pa., was also life-flighted to Geisinger where he is reported to be in serious condition.
PSP Milton is continuing their investigation along the stretch of Rt. 54, south of Turbotville Borough, Northumberland County.
