Danville, Pa. – A man from Limerick, Pa. died as a result of a crash early Friday morning when he rear ended a tractor trailer on I-80 in Montour County.
Pennsylvania State Police in Milton said Curtis Melville III, 19, was driving east on I-80 in Liberty Township when he lost control of his Ford F150 pickup truck, causing him to hit the rear of a tractor trailer that was parked along the shoulder of the exit ramp at a rest area.
Melville was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated. He was transported to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said.
The operator of the tractor trailer, Temur Davronov, 40, of Philadelphia, was not injured.
