WILLIAMSPORT -- Derrek C. Quigley, 32, of the (redacted) block of Glenwood Ave. in Williamsport, was charged for allegedly having inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile girl on several occasions between April 2016 and November 2018.
The victim reportedly told family members that Quigley "molested" her on several occasions, according to the affidavit filed by Agent Jason P. Bolt of Williamsport Bureau of Police. The alleged sexual contact was reported to Lycoming County Children and Youth who notified police in February of 2019. The first incident allegedly occurred at a Williamsport residence on April 5, 2016.
A second alleged incident occurred during the winter of 2017-2018. Quigley allegedly directed the victim to sleep in his bed and then fondled her, according to the affidavit.
The victim related that another incident occurred in Mechanicsburg in June 2017. Quigley allegedly directed the victim to sleep next to him on a mattress and then fondled her, according to the affidavit.
Quigley gave a detailed statement to police on March 26 and reportedly admitted to fondling the victim on the three separate occasions that she told investigators about, according to the affidavit.
Quigley was charged with several counts of corruption of minors, indecent assault of a minor and unlawful contact with a minor - sexual offenses. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 16 at the office of District Magistrate Christian D. Frey. He posted $50,000 bail and is ordered to have no contact with the victim.
