MONTGOMERY -- A man was charged after he allegedly waved a gun toward another driver at routes 15 and 54 in Clinton Township, Lycoming County.
Guy Steinback, 76, of Montgomery, allegedly threatened the other driver at 2:21 p.m. May 17, 2019. According to Pennsylvania State Police in Montoursville, the victim made a hand gesture toward Steinback's vehicle. Steinback then sped up, got in front of the victim's vehicle and started braking.
At that point, Steinback reportedly got a handgun out of his pocket and started waving it in the vehicle. This alarmed the victim, police said. The victim sped up and observed Steinback driving down the road with both hands on the steering wheel and the handgun in his right hand. At one point, Steinback's finger was in the trigger guard of the handgun, police said.
Charges of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and harassment were filed at the office of District Magistrate Jon E. Kemp in Muncy.
