Loyalsock Township, Pa. – A man on probation from Allegheny County was arrested Monday night for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend in a hotel room over a dispute about his cheating, police said.

While staying at the Econolodge at 2019 E. Third Street, Christian C. Henderson, 27, got into an argument with his girlfriend about his recent cheating, according to Trooper Troy Hansen of State Police in Montoursville. Henderson then allegedly got into the woman’s face and tackled her into a lamp. He also punched her in the face above the right eye, Hansen wrote in the affidavit.

When Hansen arrived at the room shortly after 10 p.m. Nov. 25, 2019, he noticed a lamp and several other items were disheveled and broken. The woman had a large lump above her right eye, he said.

Henderson was on probation and has four warrants out of Allegheny County. He is currently homeless and has been living out of hotels. Trooper Hansen noted that Henderson appeared to be intoxicated and “admitted to drinking heavily throughout the night.”

Henderson was charged with simple assault and harassment. Court records from Allegheny County show that Henderson has a history of assault charges, as well as a rape charge from 2016.

He was arraigned in front of on call District Magistrate Jerry C. Lepley and was remanded to Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail. His preliminary hearing in front of District Magistrate Gary A. Whiteman is set for 10 a.m. Dec. 2.
