Lycoming County will hold an Inaugural Ceremony to welcome all County, City, Township, and Borough officials elected into office during the 2019 general election, as well as County and City appointed officials. The ceremony will take place on Friday, January 3, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport.

During the ceremony, the new officials will be administered the oaths of office by Court of Common Pleas Judges for the 29th Judicial District.

Dr. John Piper Jr. will provide the keynote address. Mr. Kenneth Sawyer, former voice of WRAK/WRKK Radio, will serve as master of ceremonies.

The Williamsport Symphony Orchestra will provide music for the event. Soloist, Alexis Carnevale, a current resident of Williamsport and a student at Bloomsburg University, will sing the National Anthem. The Marine Corps League Color Guard, With Special Guest Korean War Veteran Howard Wilt will present the colors and Eagle Scout Isaac Schriner, a senior at Loyalsock Township High School, will lead the pledge of allegiance to the flag.

Pastor Stan Cary, Cogan Station Christian Church, and Mary Woods will also be participating in the Inaugural Ceremony.
