The Caribbean scored four runs in the first inning, then held on to beat Asia Pacific in the early game Thursday at Lamade Stadium. They will play Japan Saturday at 12:30 in the international final.

In the late game, Louisiana beat Virginia 10-0. Marshall Louque threw a five-inning no-hitter (the game was shortened due to the ten run rule) for the winners. Reece Roussel went 4-4 with three doubles and a grand slam. Roussel is now 13-17 since he arrived in South Williamsport. It was tight for a while. Louisiana only led 1-0 until they broke it open with a seven-run, fourth inning. They ended up out-hitting Virginia 13-0.

Louisiana will play Hawaii Saturday at 3:30 in the American final. The winners of Saturday's games will play Sunday for the championship.

* each game today featured a grand slam. It was the first time since 1992 there had been two grand slams in the same day at the Little League World Series.
