Jade Gillette Babcock, 49, has confessed to killing Brenda L. Jacobs, who has been missing since 2003.

Earlier this week, a Philadelphia woman informed Pennsylvania State Police about the whereabouts of the remains of a missing mother of two. Based on her tip, Police discovered partial remains body in a storage facility in the Frankford nieghborhood of Philadelphia Monday, Sept. 16, 2019, according to police documents and news reports.

Babcock has a long history of criminal activity including making terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, simple assault, harassment, and public drunkenness, dating back to the mid 1990s. He is now in custody, charged with abuse of a corpse, obstruction of justice, and tampering with evidence.

According to a report on 6abc out of Philadelphia, The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office requested Babcock be held without bail in anticipation of likely homicide charges in the near future. A judge granted the request.

Homicide charges are expected to come from the Lycoming County District Attorney’s Office following his confession.
