Pennsylvania State Police in Milton investigated a number of recent incidents in Northumberland, Union and Montour counties:

Criminal Simple Trespass, Jan. 8, 2020 at 7:47 p.m. at 18220 Old Turnpike Rd., Hartley Township, Union County. Police were dispatched to a residence for a report of a verbal dispute. Upon arrival, Brandon Valentine, 38, of Penns Creek, refused to leave the property. He was cited for trespassing.

Theft of Motor Vehicle, Jan. 6, 2020 at 1:12 p.m. at 4867 Route 54, Turbotville Borough, Northumberland County. Police are investigating a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been inoperable for four years and had been left in a vacant lot owned by the victim. The vehicle is a black 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer license plate JZN-6052.

Found Property, Jan. 6, 2020 at 10:39 a.m. at 78 Center Rd., Liberty Township, Montour County. Police responded to a report of a woman finding a bag containing a suspicious substance in a field by her residence. The materials in the bag were later identified as supplies from a methamphetamine lab. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Milton.

Harassment Physical Contact, Jan. 4, 2020 at 9:47 a.m. at Buffalo and Johnson Mill roads, Buffalo Township, Union County. Police said Matthew Heimbach, 55, of Lewisburg, dragged a female victim across a field and in the roadway by her arm and hair. He then shoved her down over a hill off the north side of the roadway, police said. Two citations of harassment and disorderly conduct were filed at the office of District Magistrate Jeffrey Mensch in Mifflinburg.

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000, Jan. 2, 2020 at 5:22 p.m. at 1911 Montour Blvd., Cooper Township, Montour County. Police said Jeremy Chapin, 41, of Stillwater, damaged multiple items at the Sunrise Inn. Damaged items included a wooden door, window and mailbox. Charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Marvin K. Shrawder in Danville.

Harassment Physical Contact, Jan. 2, 2020 at 2:58 p.m. at Laver Rd., Delaware Township, Northumberland County. Police responded to a report of an assault. Upon investigation, police found that a 26-year-old woman of Watsontown entered the residence and struck the victim. She was told to leave and failed to do so. The woman then struck another victim in the residence, police said. Charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Michael Diehl in Milton.

Drug Possession, Jan. 1, 2020 at 8:42 p.m. at Westbranch Highway/Ziegler Rd., Kelly Township, Union County. Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 Lexus ES300. While interacting with the driver. Anthony Gonzalez, 36, of York, the trooper detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Gonzalez was subsequently discovered to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Jeffrey A. Rowe in Lewisburg.

Burglary Residential Force, Between 9:45 p.m. Dec. 31, 2019 and 1:30 a.m. Jan. 1, 2020 at Main St., Turbotville Borough, Northumberland County. Police said a suspect forced the door open of an apartment and took valuables from a safe. Anyone with information may contact PSP Milton and reference incident number PA20-622.

PFA Violation, Dec. 30, 2019 at noon at 300 block of Clemens Rd., Delaware Township, Northumberland County. Police said a victim reported a protection from abuse order violation against Matthew Smith, 28, of Muncy. Smith was taken into custody.

Theft/Crime by Deception, Dec. 26, 2019 between 3:11 and 5:32 p.m. at Flying J Truck Stop, 1460 N. Ridge Rd., Turbot Township, Northumberland County. Police said an employee stole $407.01 cash while working as a cashier at the Sunoco gas station. Police continue to investigate.

DUI on View Alcohol, Dec. 22, 2019 at U.S. Route 15 South/Derr Dr. Kelly Township, Union County. Police conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford F-150 pickup truck. The driver, Richard Troutman, 62, of Dornsife, showed signs of impairment, police said. Police did a sobriety test on Troutman and he was subsequently placed under arrest for driving under the influence. Charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Jeffrey A. Rowe in Lewisburg.

DUI on View Alcohol, Dec. 21, 2019 at 4:36 p.m. at 884 Broadway Rd., Turbot Township, Northumberland County. Police were dispatched for a report of an unresponsive male in a vehicle. Upon investigation, police found a 19-year-old man of Lewisburg inside the vehicle. They determined he was impaired. The man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Michael Diehl in Milton.

DUI on View Alcohol, Dec. 21, 2019 at 12:57 a.m. at Continental Blvd. and Arrowhead Rd., Anthony Township, Montour County. Police pulled over a vehicle for multiple traffic violations. Upon investigation, they determined the driver, Aaron Crawford, 38, of Muncy, was under the influence of alcohol. Charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Marvin K. Shrawder in Danville.

DUI on View Combination Alcohol/Drugs, Dec. 21, 2019 at 12:42 a.m. at Continental Blvd. and Arrowhead Rd., Anthony Township, Montour County. Police were on routine patrol when they observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving on Route 54. Police pulled the vehicle over and found the driver, Joshua Buck, 31, of Muncy, was under the influence of alcohol and had open containers in the vehicle. He also had drug paraphernalia in his possession. Police conducted field sobriety tests and placed Buck under arrest. Charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Marvin K. Shrawder in Danville.

Theft Bad Checks, Dec. 18, 2019 at 12:32 p.m. at Penns Creek Rd., Lewis Township, Union County. Police said a suspect provided a victim with a bad check. The account associated with the check had been closed and had insufficient funds. This case is still under investigation.

DUI on View Drugs, Dec. 17, 2019 at 7:43 p.m. at T607 and Dickson Ave., Delaware Township, Northumberland County. Police assisted a disabled motorist on the highway. While conversing with the driver, Jeffrey Heimbach, 49, of Northumberland, the trooper detected multiple signs of impairment. Heimbach was taken into custody. Charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Michael Diehl in Milton.

Theft, Dec. 9, 2019 at 8 p.m. at Groover Rd., Union Township, Union County. Police said a victim reported a theft of $900 via an internet purchase. The incident is under investigation. 

Theft/Crime by Deception, Dec. 9, 2019 at 6 p.m. at 1304 Mountain Rd., Limestone Township, Union County. Police said a victim reported he allowed a family member to borrow his personal vehicle and did not return it when asked.

DUI on View Alcohol, Dec. 8, 2019 at 1:06 a.m. at White Deer Pike/U.S. Route 15 South at White Deer Township, Union County. Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze for traffic violations. The driver, Eric Sandel, 35, of West Milton, had consumed alcoholic beverages. Police conducted field sobriety tests on Sandel. He was arrested for driving under the influence. Charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Jeffrey A. Rowe in Lewisburg.

DUI on View Alcohol, Nov. 27, 2019 at 9:24 p.m. at Susquehanna Trail/Warrior Run Blvd., Lewis Township, Northumberland County. Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver, Tyler Jacobson, 24, of Montoursville, showed alcohol-related signs of impairment. Police conducted field sobriety tests and Jacobson was subsequently placed under arrest for driving under the influence. Charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Michael Diehl in Milton.

Drug Possession, Nov. 26, 2019 at 7:35 p.m. at County Line and Comly roads, Lewis Township, Northumberland County. Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2017 Ford Escape for a lane violation. Upon making contact with the driver, Matthew Dimm, 28, of Watsontown, police determined he was under the influence of a controlled substance and was in possession of controlled substances. Charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Michael Diehl in Milton.

Theft Bad Checks, Oct. 17, 2019 at 2:28 p.m. at Rovendale, LLC, at 1050 Susquehanna Trail, Delaware Township, Northumberland County. Police said a customer wrote a bad check for $351.68 for parts. 

Theft by Deception Credit/ATM Card, June 1, 2019 at 4:53 p.m. at Evangelical Community Hospital, 3 Hospital Dr., Kelly Township, Union County. Police said an unknown actor used a credit card terminal to issue a refund to a card not used at that location on June 1, June 2 and Oct. 30, 2019. Police are still looking for information from the public. Anyone with information may contact PSP Milton and reference incident number 19-1675118.
