On July 28, 2019, the Pennsylvania State Police investigated an armed robbery at the Nittany Minit Mart, 1450 East Third St., Loyalsock Township. An armed individual reportedly entered the store, showed a firearm, and demanded money from the clerk, according to police.
An extensive investigation by members of the Pennsylvania State Police Montoursville, Pennsylvania State Police Fugitive Unit, and the Williamsport Bureau of Police resulted in the arrest of Noah Samuel Stroup, 23, according to a release issued Aug. 15.
Stroup, of Williamsport, was taken into custody Thursday, Aug. 15, by members of the United States Marshal Task Force.
He is facing arraignment today in front of Magisterial District Judge Christian D. Frey on charges of Robbery, Simple Assault, Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, and Firearms Violations for this incident.
In 2016, Stroup was reportedly charged with disorderly conduct for yelling at and trying to fight passersby at 431 Park Ave. on March 13 and jailed in lieu of $25,000. Stroup was also charged with alleged assault in 2018.
