DUI on View Alcohol, July 5, 2019 at 1:10 a.m., High Street, Williamsport, Lycoming County. Police stopped Matthew Bittenbender, 48, of Williamsport, for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation, it was determined he was under the influence. Charges will be filed.
Harassment Threaten Physical Contact, July 5, 2019 at 6:50 p.m., Corey Lane, Mifflin Township, Lycoming County. Police said Nicole Hart, 34, of Jersey Shore, held a baseball bat in a threatening manner toward a male victim. Charges are pending.
PFA Violation, June 27, 2019 at 6:37 p.m. at Harer Park Road, Mifflin Township, Lycoming County. A 31-year-old man of Williamsport violated a protection from abuse order by contacting a female victim through a third party by using Facebook Messenger. The message pertained to a question regarding selling the victim’s vehicle. The Lycoming County District Attorney’s office declined prosecution.
Theft of Vehicle Parts, June 24, 2019 at 1:19 a.m., Breon’s Bikes, 2959 Lycoming Creek Road, Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County. Police became aware of the theft of three motorcycle tires. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft Retail/Shoplifting, June 24, 2019 at 1:30 p.m., Kmart, 1915 E. Third Street, Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County. Police said Tracey Gray, 44, of Williamsport, stole approximately $40.50 worth of merchandise from the store. Kmart loss prevention immediately reported the incident and detained Gray until PSP Montoursville arrived. Charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Gary A. Whiteman.
Theft Bad Checks, June 17, 2019 at 12 a.m., Warren Street, Fairfield Township, Lycoming County. Police said a victim attempted to sell an item through eBay and received a message from a potential buyer to sell the item privately. The potential buyer also requested to go through her preferred shipping company. The victim received a cashier’s check and forwarded the shipping costs through Paypal to the potential buyer. The cashier’s check did not clear and the victim could not receive the shipping money of $2,657.35 back.
Theft of Lost/Mislaid Property, June 3-19, 2019, 1949 E. Third Street, Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County. Police said $120,000 was inadvertently routed to a BB&T bank account owned by a Montoursville resident. The joint bank account owners spent $107,416 of the $120,000 in a span of 20 days. Charges pending further investigation.
