Fifty-two year old Penny L. Wettlaufer, of Muncy, is confined to Lycoming County Jail on felony retail theft charges, court records stated.
She has a criminal history of similar charges, according to state police.
On five separate occasions, Wettlaufer allegedly stole from Weis Markets, 1272 E. Penn Street, Muncy Creek Township, according to an affidavit filed on November 21, 2019.
Around 5 pm on September 24, 2019, Wettlaufer reportedly took two six packs of Pepsi brand soda.
On September 27, 2019, around 6 pm, she reportedly stole on Weis deli rotisserie chickent, one party pizza and one unknown plant.
Around 12:13 pm on October 12, 2019, Wettlaufer stole two more party pizzas and a bakery sheet cake, according to the affidait. Later that day, around 8 pm, she reportedly took an unknown brand rug.
On October 24, 2019, around 4:46 p.m., Wettlaufer reportedly stole two boost health drink packs.
The total value of items stolen by Penny Wettlaufer amounted to $163.21, Trooper Peter Dunchick wrote in his affidavit.
Wettlaufer previously pleaded guilty to retail thefts in 1998 and 1999.
She was charged with one count of third degree felony retail theft - take merchandise, and her bail was set at $15,000 monetary.
She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Jon E. Kemp on December 6, 2019.
