A Williamsport Pride Drag Show featuring Mandy Mango, Pajama Factory Artist-in-Residence, and nine area drag entertainers is scheduled for Friday, July 26th, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., Pajama Factory Community Room, 1307 Park Avenue, in the city.

The event will feature lip-synching, dancing and audience interaction. While the show is free, all entertainer tips will be donated to AIDS Resource, a local non-profit organization serving the region. Seating is limited and reservations are required through Eventbrite (search ‘Williamsport Pride Drag Show’).

Sigfried Aragona, show organizer, is a 22-year-old nurse and self-taught drag queen who embraces the eccentric and beautiful persona of Mandy Mango. She’s been practicing female impersonation through makeup, wig-styling, designing, and performing for more than a year and a half.

“I hope to push the boundaries of gender through my drag artistry,” said Mandy. “Our society is only now starting to understand that some people do not necessarily fit the mold. I want everyone to feel relaxed and enjoy themselves during this show even if they are entirely new to drag shows.”

During the workday Sigfried, or Mandy Mango, is a sexual health nurse and clinical case manager at AIDS Resource. Mandy endeavors to blend her drag artistry and nursing skills to address health concerns and disparities within sexual minorities in north central Pennsylvania.

The facility is BYOB. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
