The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania will host a Star Party at Rider Park on Friday, July 19, 2019. NASA Engineer, Glenn Bock, will be your guide to the wonders of the night sky. Learn how to identify galaxies and constellations or perhaps see a shooting star!

Pre-registered guests are invited to one of the best viewing areas in Lycoming County, Rider Park. Families are encouraged to attend this free event. Guests should arrive between 8:30 – 9 p.m. and bring telescopes, binoculars, lawn chairs, blankets and flashlights. The Park will remain open until 11:30 p.m. to view the night sky at your leisure.

If clear skies prevail, this event will be held on Friday. In the event of rain or low visibility, the event will be moved to Saturday, July 20, 2019. If there is a change, a public announcement will be made on the Rider park website.
