On November 13, Williamsport Area School District announced that Dr. Chad Greevy will be their new Secondary Curriculum Supervisor. Currently Dr. Greevy serves as the principal of the Loyalsock Township School District's middle school, and he will officially join the Williamsport district in the coming weeks. He is replacing Dr. Bernadette Boerckel, who resigned from the district in September to pursue new opportunities.
Dr. Greevy brings more than 20 years of professional and administrative experience to the position. He started his career in education in 2000 as a language arts teacher at Curtin Middle School and worked as an assistant principal for Donald E. Schick Elementary School and Loyalsock Township High School before moving into his latest administrative post as principal at Loyalsock Township Middle School.
In addition to his work in public education, he also served as an adjunct professor for Wilkes University.
A Williamsport native and 1991 WAHS graduate, Greevy earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Allegheny College, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University, and his Education Doctorate Degree from Immaculata University.
