To minimize population density on campus and in classes, Lock Haven University started the semester with approximately 85% of fall classes will be remote to include online, distance education (synchronous and asynchronous), hyflex and hybrid modalities.

On September 2, 2020 the university switched to remote learning for two weeks after a rise in cases. In person classes are set to resume on campus starting September 21. 

Residence hall occupancy reduced to one-third capacity, preference given to students in  experiential classes for their major. Maximum occupancy of one student in all residence hall rooms.

Lock Haven, Pa. — Throughout October, the Lock Haven campus of Commonwealth University hosted its annual Hunger Bowl competition. During the event, student clubs and organizations collect non-perishable items to donate to nearby food banks. This year, faculty and staff also joined the competition.
