State College, PA – Pennsylvania Acting Secretary of Health, Keara Klinepeter, will visit the state’s COVID-19 testing site in Centre County today at 1:45 p.m. to encourage people to get tested when needed.
Though COVID-19 cases continue to surge, techniques for case tracking are expected to change. According to Pew Research, public health officials are considering a turn from daily case counts toward reports of severe hospitalizations and deaths—a practice which local hospitals have already adopted.
The Northcentral region of Pennsylvania is no different from the rest of the country or the globe when it comes to exploding COVID cases, with numbers rising above the December 2020 peak.
