On Saturday, Nov. 9, the Lycoming Animal Protection Society (LAPS) is hosting an indoor yard and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the South Williamsport Fire Department Social Hall on Hastings Street. Items and baked goods may be donated on the day of the sale from 7 to 9 a.m. The group is also accepting donations of baked goods and items to sell on November 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

LAPS will not accept broken or dirty items, large appliances, large exercise equipment, clothing, stuffed animals, televisions, tangled strings of lights, computer parts, travel mugs and tumblers, or large pieces of furniture.

Recommended items to donate include clean, unbroken dishes, small appliances, linens and rugs, jewelry, purses/totes, decorative items such as ornaments and framed art, non-plush toys and games, camping and gardening supplies, and unopened makeup.

Items are priced on a “reasonable donation” basis during the sale.

All proceeds from the indoor yard and bake sale go to LAPS, a no-kill shelter that provides care for cats.
