If you or your family were among the many who put together a new jigsaw puzzle this holiday season and don’t want it cluttering up your house, consider donating it to Williamsport's James V. Brown Library! The library is looking for puzzle donations for in-house use and in adult programming.

Puzzles that are missing pieces are accepted, since the pieces can be recycled in craft projects. If you are donating a puzzle with missing pieces, please include a note informing the library about the missing parts.

“Puzzles are put out several times a week in the Rotunda area for the public to work on and they have become very popular,” said Dana Brigandi, manager of adult programming and marketing. “Each month there is an adult DIY craft project that is free for the public. The February project will use painted puzzle pieces to create a unique decoration or gift for a loved one.”

Puzzles may be dropped off at any circulation desk.

The James V. Brown Library is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
