Selinsgrove — Susquehanna University will host a panel discussion on gun violence at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, in Isaacs Auditorium, Seibert Hall, Susquehanna University.

The event is the first panel in the University's new Advocacy Speaker Series, which aims to provide the public with a better understanding of a variety of social issues.

The discussion entitled “Not One More: Power and Persistence in the Movement to End Gun Violence, will feature three leading advocates working in Pennsylvania to prevent gun violence:

  • Marybeth Christiansen, volunteer leader of the Pennsylvania chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America
  • Shira Goodman, executive director of CeaseFirePA
  • State Rep. Movita Johnson-Harrell, D-190, of Philadelphia 

The Advocacy Speaker Series will provide insights on civic engagement from experienced leaders representing a variety of causes.
