Girls Play at AOAA, an offroading group for ladies, will be hosting their first-ever annual Prom Dress Ride to support students at Shamokin Area High School who may be unable to afford formal clothing for prom.

During the event, all participants regardless of gender are encouraged to wear a dress while hitting the trails on their ATVs or in their Jeeps, and supporters may bring additional dresses, suits, ties, dress shoes, etc. to donate.

The event begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2020 at the Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area. Plan now and get your early bird tickets, available through the facebook event page for $15 per person until February 29.

Each ticket includes event access, a t-shirt, a raffle ticket, and dinner.

At the end of the event, a prom king and queen will be crowned among those who wore a dress to ride. The dresses worn by ATV/Jeep riders will then be collected and dry cleaned before they are donated to Shamokin Area High School students.

Country Inn & Suites in Pottsville will offer a discount for affiliates of Girls Play at AOAA. Mention you are attending the event if you reserve a room at this hotel to receive a special rate.
