Pennsylvania dog licenses for 2020 are now available at the Lycoming County Treasurer's office at 33 West Third Street in Williamsport. State law requires all dogs three months or older to be licensed by January 1 of each year, with a fine of up to $300 for those who do not license their dogs or have up-to-date rabies vaccines.

The Lycoming County SPCA on 2805 Reach Road will also have 2020 licenses available for purchase beginning in January 2020.

“Licensing your dog is a quick and easy process and assures a safe return if your dog should become lost” says Connie Rupert, Lycoming County Treasurer.

Fees for annual dog licenses are:

  • $8.50 for a dog who has not been spayed or neutered
  • $6.50 for a dog who has been spayed or neutered
  • $6.50 for a non-spayed/neutered dog belonging to a senior citizen (aged 65 or older) or a person with a disability (proof must be shown)
  • $4.50 for a spayed/neutered dog belonging to a senior citizen or a person with a disability

Fees for lifetime dog licenses are:

  • $51.50 for a dog who has not been spayed or neutered
  • $31.50 for a dog who has been spayed or neutered
  • $31.50 for a non-spayed/neutered dog belonging to a senior citizen or person with a disability
  • $21.50 for a spayed/neutered dog belonging to a senior citizen or person with a disability

Annual dog licenses are purchasable online. You may also print an application from the website for an annual license and mail it with your payment to: Lycoming County Treasurer, 48 West Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
