chair yoga at JVB.jpg

Chair yoga has returned to the James V. Brown Library for February and March! Alicia Koch will provide lessons for the weekly program on Tuesdays from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the third-floor vintage meeting area. All levels of experience are welcome!

Some of the benefits of chair yoga include: Improved strength, flexibility, and concentration, with an overall feeling of positivity, including stress reduction and pain management. Each Tuesday session explores physical postures to use while seated or using a chair, breath work, and meditation.

These classes are geared toward adults who are seated for most of the day. Participants do not need to change out of their clothing or bring a Yoga mat, and the activity is very safe and low-impact.

These classes can serve as a midday respite and reset your mental and emotional state before continuing your day.

Alicia Koch has been using natural healing modalities for herself and her family since 2000.
