Proceeds to help K’s for Cancer and YMCA Livestrong cancer survivor program

On November 28, Thanksgiving morning, 16-year-old Be You Boldly owner and junior at the Williamsport Area High School, Cecilia Fink, will be hosting a 5k run/walk. The 3rd Pie Day 5k Run/Walk, will kick off at 9 a.m. with day of registration starting at 7:30 a.m. The race will start and finish at the parking lot entrance of the Williamsport YMCA, 641 Walnut Street Williamsport.

The course is wheel measured 3.1 miles. All profits will benefit Fink’s 2019 donation to K’s for Cancer and the Livestrong Cancer Survivor Program at the YMCA. K’s for Cancer, established by Rex Hilton in memory of Justin Flannery Hilton, raises money to provide direct and immediate support to cancer patients and their families here in Lycoming County.

Race registration forms are online, or can be picked up at the Williamsport YMCA, and at various area businesses. Call the Williamsport YMCA at 570-323-7134 for more information. Restrooms available and accesssable inside the YMCA.

The first 250 signups are guaranteed a swag bag with a pair of Be You Boldly earrings and a T-shirt. Awards, door prizes, and free food will be available.

The race T-shirt logo was designed by Williamsport Area High School student Tanner Hostrander and the race registration form was designed by Eli Dobeler-Wyland. Pies for all first place finishers are being made by the culinary students at the Williamsport Area High School.
