Weis Markets announces the opening of its newest Gas-N-Go fuel center, at the store at 1916 Lycoming Creek Road in Williamsport. The gas station, opening today, features six pumps and will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
The Gas-N-Go gas station is an added convenience, says Weis Markets. Customers can now shop for their groceries and fill up their tanks in one stop. It also offers them the chance to redeem their reward points for gas discounts.
The first Weis Markets opened in 1912 in Sunbury, Pa. and has grown to operate in seven states and employ more than 19,000 associates, according to their website. They buy more than 20 million pounds of locally grown produce and purchase local produce in all of the states where they have stores.
The company also supports local food banks and food pantries through a program called Fight Hunger which generates hundreds of thousands of meals for people in need.
As part of the Williamsport Gas-N-Go launch, which includes a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. today, the store team is making a $500 donation to the Lycoming County SPCA. In May, as part of its annual Paws for Pets program, the store raised an additional $2,872.00 for the SPCA.
