PENNSDALE -- Ollie's Bargain Outlet will be moving into the former Toys 'R' Us store in Muncy Township this spring. The empty store is currently being remodeled.

Jerry Altland, Vice President of Real Estate for Ollie's Bargain Outlet, confirmed on Friday that they bought the space. The new Muncy Township store is set to open in May. Ollie's hopes to hire between 45 to 55 people, according to Altland.

Ollie's Bargain Outlet, with a slogan of "good stuff cheap," is one of America's largest retailers of closeout merchandise and excess inventory, according to their website. The company currently has 308 stores. Currently, the closest current stores to our area are in Mill Hall and Shamokin Dam.

Toys 'R' Us in Muncy Township closed last spring.
