Work is progressing on the Northern Section of the Central Susquehanna Valley Transportation (CSVT) project in Northumberland County as follows:

On Monday, June 12, the reconstruction of Route 147 north of Ridge Road will begin.

This work will require lane closures with flaggers providing traffic control. Motorists should expect delays and plan their travels accordingly.

The contractor will begin work Monday morning and continue around the clock for the next two weeks, including weekends.

Work continues on the river bridge piers on the west side of the river. This work includes excavation and construction of piers and pier foundations.

Construction of acceleration and deceleration lanes on Route 15 north of Granger Road in Union Township, Union County, which is part of the construction of the Route 15 Interchange, will continue next week.

The passing lanes on Route 15 are closed in both directions while work is completed in the median.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 770 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
