Clair Louis Schon, 72, of Cogan Station passed away Monday, July 3, 2017. His Lord Jesus was waiting for him when he passed peacefully, surrounded by his family.
Born April 13, 1945 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late John J. and Regina Ulmer Schon.
Clair was a 1963 graduate of Williamsport High School. He was a partner of Schon Brothers Builders, Schon Brothers Hardware and Schon Farm.
Clair was a member of Hepburn Baptist Church and the Sunday School, and was a member of the Friday Night Supper Club.
Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Kathryn Welsh Schon, two children, David C.(Michelle) Schon of Pottstown and Jonathan C. (Michelle) Schon of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren Jason, Raelyn, Christian and Justin Schon, siblings, John Arthur (Melva), Cecil (Fern), Clyde (Ruth) all of Cogan Station and Thelma Houseknecht of DuBoistown, sisters-in-law Mary L. Anderson of Williamsport and Patsy Welsh of Ft. Myers, FL and brother-in-law George Welsh of Manchester.
A funeral to honor the life of Clair will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Hepburn Baptist Church, 2917 Pleasant Valley Road, Cogan Station. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport.
Interment will be in Elimsport Cemetery.
