WILLIAMSPORT — Bucknell University’s Dr. Chris Daniel stopped by Stevens Primary School Tuesday afternoon, visiting the school as this month’s Career Café guest speaker.
The geology professor spoke with second- and third-grade students about his career not only as a professor but where that position takes him in the geology field.
Now in its second year, the Career Café program is an opportunity for a rotating group students to hear from area professionals while they eat their lunch in library. The program, led by school counselor Marcey Nolan, helps expose students to a number of career fields, while offering them a chance to ask questions to deepen their understanding of a particular profession.
“We want them to be able to beign to think about who they are, what they like and what they’re good at, and hear from a variety of career stories from people in our community,” Nolan said.
