Jim Dabney is vice president and manager of Clear Channel (WKSB/WVRT/WVRZ/WBLJ/WBYL/WRAK/WRKK). He began his broadcast career in 1966 at age 16 as a Wyoming radio station’s evening rock jock. He graduated from Central Wyoming College with a major in broadcast. He worked with Riverton Broadcasting for 18 years leaving as general sales manager to be a partner in a new broadcast venture, WindRiver Communication, a 100,000 watt FM. He and his wife, Pastor Lisa Smith Dabney, moved to Pennsylvania in 1989 to be closer to family. In 1990, he accepted the job of general manager of WRAK-AM/WKSB-FM, now owned by Clear Channel Communications. He has been in broadcasting for 44 years with no interruptions. He and Lisa have four children: Tara, Ryan, Colter, and Olivia. His hobbies and activities include karate, racquetball, photography, volleyball, fishing, hunting, singing and church involvement.
