Biography

I taught English and Mathematics for 30 years, with a Bachelor's in Math and a Master's in English. After retiring in 2004, I became a freelance writer. I have written over 400 articles, mostly for the Williamsport Sun-Gazette and the Webb Weekly, and I have two books out in the Arcadia Publishing Company's "Images of America" series -- "Pine Creek Villages" (2008) and "Middletown Borough" (2009); I am currently working on a third, "Sugar Valley Villages," which is scheduled for publication July 4, 2011.

I live in Torbert Village right along Pine Creek just above Jersey Shore, with my wife, Beth. I have three grown daughters -- Rebecca, Rachel and Sarah. I say that my life now centers around three activities -- writing, reading and riding my bicycle on my beloved Pine Creek Rail Trail.
