Marjorie M. Cox, 89, of Williamsport, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Manor Care North.

Born June 9, 1922 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Louie J. and Ruth E. Gateman Hort.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph on December 4, 2011.

Marjorie was a homemaker. She also had worked in the Geisinger Medical Center housekeeping Dept. and in the cabinet industry.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Casey of California, a brother John (Helga) Hort of AZ,  a step granddaughter, Drena (Brian) Bennett of Montrose, CO, a nephew, Ken (Ann) Dunkleberger of Williamsport and two nieces, Glady Vaughn of Williamsport and Eileen (C. Glen)  Lewis of Hughesville.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street Williamsport. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park.
