Shirley L. Dincher

(October 17, 1934 - December 17, 2011)

Shirley L. Dincher, 77, formerly of Fairfield Twp., died Saturday, December 17, 2011, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Shirley was born in Williamsport, October 17, 1934, a daughter of Lester and Dorothy Elliott Bartlett.

She was a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church.

Shirley had attended State Beauty School on 1954 and was recertified in 1971, she later obtained her teaching certificate from Empire Beauty School. From 1972 until 2010 she was the owner of Dincher’s Hair Shop.

Above all else Shirley enjoyed being with her family.

Surviving are three sons and their wives, Leonard A. (Lisa Bower) Dincher of Cogan Station, Andrew R. (Nancy Kuna) Dincher of Cogan Station and George R. (Kathy K.) Dincher of Williamsport six grandchildren, Leonard C. (Jen) Dincher, Jeremy A. (Candice) Dincher, Katrina M. Dincher, Jessica L. (Steve) Beckman, Megan A. Dincher, Heather A. (Leonard) Duitch, three step grandchildren Tara C. (Michael) Koser, Jason R. Newcomer, Casey L. Newcomer, six great grandchildren, two stepgreat grandchildren and a brother Roland Bartlett of Florida.

Her husband of 31 years, Leonard R. Dincher died December 19, 1985, she was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert Bartlett.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Rd. Williamsport with her pastor, Rev. Paul C. Fontanella officiating with burial to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Crouse Funeral Home 133 East Third St. Williamsport.
