Jean Marie Carlson

Jean Marie Carlson, 86, of Hughesville, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.

Born August 10, 1925, in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late Otto and Malinda Schreffler Natschke.

Jean was a registered nurse for over 40 years and retired from Selinsgrove Center. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, Eric (Patty) Carlson of Hillsboro, Kentucky; a daughter, Kay (Dane) Shrawder of Unityville; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by three brothers, Herman, Harry and Ervin Natschke.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2011, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Stephen Smith and the Rev. Ronald Savits co-officiating.

Burial will be held 2 p.m. Monday in the Christ Church Cemetery, Ashland.
